ELS Career day committee

The committee that will organize the third ELS Career Day will consist out of several members of Ouranos and several members of ELSA. The Ouranos members will be Michaela, Caroline, Matteo, Isabell and Gael. The members from ELSA will be Anne, Armin, Aniek, Samantha and Finja.

This committee will be busy throughout the year with the organization of the ELS Career Day, an event which is now being held for the third time. The event, which has been immensely successful from the beginning, will give students the opportunity to explore possible work opportunities for after their studies and to make contact with possible future employers. This event is organized especially for the ELS students, but also students from other law studies are invited to join.

On this day possible future employers for the European Law School students are being invited. For example, lawyers from big law firms working on a European and International level will be there, as well as representatives from the European institutions and from other internationally active bodies. These guest speakers will give presentations of approximately 45 minutes each in which they outline what kind of work they do, what it takes to get a job like that and what their experiences in that job have been. After the sessions, of which students can attend 4 in total, there will be drinks at the end of the day in the faculty garden. This is where the students and the speakers can get in touch having chats over drinks and snacks.
